Hi Everyone.I hope this finds you well.
My Name is Bob Igoe and I serve as the Madisonville community council president. I’ve had the privilege of meeting and serving with many of you. I’m reaching out today to offer some information and ask for some help. First we have launched a community website,
    http://www.historicmadisonville.com
We’ve included a page called Faith Community
    http://www.historicmadisonville.com/resource-center/madisonville-faith-community
We’d like to list information about all the churches in Madisonville. If you have events or specific information you would like to be included please e-mail it to me. We’re also asking that you link back to our site if possible. Churches are the foundation for any successful community and we’re glad you are in Madisonville.
You are always welcome at our council meetings. They take place on the 3rd Thursday of the month, 7pm at the Madisonville Rec Center.
Please feel free to contact me any time.

Heaven has gained a true saint, Doug Riddiough. We have know the Riddioughs since 1972, when I was seeking a call. Doug was the first Eastminsterite to make contact. We began our pastorate in October of that year, leaving at the end of December of 1976. Doug and Elaine have been dear friends ever since. The example of Doug’s undying devotion to God set the standard for everyone else. He was the kind of friend/mentor who, when he spoke, I listened. Eastminster remains in our hearts and prayers.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Mr. Weckerly. Eastminster’s loss is definitely heaven’s gain and we are at peace in knowing we will see Doug again. May God bless you and your family!

  3. Hi brothers, sisters in the Lord,
My name is Gino and I live in San Jose Cal. I realized my salvation when Jesus called me out of darkness May 1 1988. One of the things that God used to get my attention during the 80’s was a goofy rainbow wig wearing, John 3:16 sign holding guy that I would see at many sporting events. This guy was always on TV ! Fast forward, today I visit this man in prison in Ione Cal. (Matt 25:34-40). The easiest way for me to explain why he is in prison is to direct you to the piece ESPN did on him in 2003. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot7J025JS5U
Rollen Stewart sold all that he had and followed the Lord, until he got derailed by listening to Charles Taylor on tv teaching false doctrine and setting dates for the Lord’s return. It has taken many years of incarceration but today miraculously by the grace of God Rollen is repenting. It has been an 18 year journey.
Today I am sending out this letter in hopes of resurrecting the rainbow man character, known as the John 3:16 guy. The reason for this is, Monday night football through the first 4 weeks has averaged 14.7 million viewers a week & Sunday night football has averaged 22 million viewers per week. These are the easiest media events to get scriptural exposure. The discipleship method of 1 person disciples 2 and them 2 each, works out to a larger number eventually, but this method was used by the Holy Spirit in my life so I know he works through it. Monday night football will be in Cincinnati on 10-18-2010.Sunday night football on 12-26-2010. I am contacting as many churches in your area as I can in hopes to encourage people to participate. The “how to do its” can be found on my website. http://www.john3-16signs.com/ Information about Rollen and our visits are periodically posted there too. Watch the ESPN piece on the “Who is Rollen Stewart” page and you will see how he and Reg Hammond did it with bed sheets. You can go into the game for free at the start of the 4th quarter and hold up the sheet in the endzone for a split second and then you’re off camera. Before the game you can preach, hand out trax, or invitations to fellowship with you. One or two soldiers can do this but it works better with prayer privates, and captains by the TV giving directions. Another good time to be seen with a scripture sign is at the post game table. People can get in the shots very easy with the help of a captain with a cell phone monitoring a TV.
We would like someone to hold up a sign with John 3-16 signs .com on it, but just scripture is ok too (John 3:16, Mark 8:36,Rom 10:9 etc) that’s the real goal, get scripture into the heads, and hearts of the lost. This is Acts 1:8, reaching as many people for Jesus’ sake as possible. Please visit my website and you will find all of the information needed to do this

If you need help or are not sure what to do e-mail me
    gino@john3-16signs.com
I am looking forward to seeing this go from town to town on Monday nights. Pray and see if God would use any of you for this. If this has found it’s way to you and you feel that you are the wrong person, I would like to ask that you would send this to the person that you think should read it.
    Thank -you
    Your brother in the Lord
    Gino

Gino, thank you for taking the time to visit our site and leaving such a thought provoking message. As believers we know that when God moves in our hearts nothing can stop the vision…and we hope that your mission, while being in the will of God, will go as far and as wide as God will have it to go. Blessings to you and yours and keep fighting the good fight!

Greetings friends. 50 years ago tonight (1/28/1961) my wife and I were married in your sanctuary, The Rev. Roland Skeel officiating. She was Linda Lee Bush, daughter of Franklin and Katherine Bush, sister of Nancy and Helen, members of your congregation. Linda and I became the parents of Karen and Peter Weschler, both active teachers now. Linda went on to enjoy a distinguished career as a middle school teacher and retired from Seattle Public Schools after 35 years of teaching kids she dearly loved. I retired two years ago after a 30 year ministry as a Christian Counselor in Seattle. We’re healthy, happy, and secure in the care of the Lord. Thank you for giving us a great sendoff. John C. Weschler, Shoreline, Washington.

      Mr. Weschler,

Thank you so much for sharing your story and congratulations on your 50th wedding anniversary! May God continue to bless and keep you and your family in his loving arms. Testimonies like yours encourage us all!

  5. Dear Everybody at Eastminster,
This is Andreas from Germany! I just looked at the website for the first time in years and had tears in my eyes when I saw the picture of Eastminster! I will always cherish the memories of my time in Cincinnati! Playing piano every Sunday at Eastminster was so special to me! It was such a wonderful time for me, every Sunday when I could share the music with you all! I think so often of you and have all of you in my prayers! Merry Christmas! God bless!
