Songs # 1 Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty
Invocation
Call to Worship
When we stop and consider you, O Lord, our hearts are stirred and our minds become like jelly.
O Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
When we consider the heights and depths and grandeur of your creation, we are in awe and we worship you.
When we ponder our place, as humanity, in the midst of your creation, we are humbled.
We are creatures of such great glory, and yet we are also capable of causing tremendous pain and destruction.
Help us find our true place in your created order, following the way of Jesus.
Let us be agents of change and agents of redemption, of your work in this world. How majestic is your name in all the earth!
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Prayer of Confession
Confession of Faith.
Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God in Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God. And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

Dear Lord, today is your day. We come to meet you. We come to have you reveal yourself to us and to show us your glory.
Without you, Lord Jesus, we are an organization, or only an institution.
Lord, you are the reason for our existence. You are the heart of the church and your transforming love has shaped the church. We ask that you enter into our presence to enliven our worship, capture our hearts and guide our actions.
Give us a new vision of who you are. Help us to see with your eyes and love with your heart. In your name we pray. Amen.

A GREAT Time
July 1, 2009
What a GREAT time we had at the annual Block Party on June 20th! Thanks to all who came out and to those who wanted to, but were unable. We look forward to this celebration every year that God allows and this year was no different. There was plenty of good fellowship, food, and fun activities for all!
No matter where you are at this exact moment, we would like to ask you to say a prayer on our behalf as we continue to be in fellowship, not just with those in the community, but with those all around the world.
Thank you & stay blessed!

DATELINE: May 2009
EastminsterPresbyterian.wordpress.com/
June to be a BIG month for events!
Wednesday, June 3, 6:30pm
Pot Luck Wednesday night dinner will be extra special this night. Andreas and
family will be joining us…..yes, that’s right! All three of them! And it is especially
important, because we will say our good-byes to Andreas. He and his family will
be leaving the US and moving to his home country, Germany. You are invited to
spend the evening holding the baby and thanking him for his faithful service as our
music director for the last four years. Let’s make this a BIG evening! Bring a dish!
Saturday, June 20, 1-4pm – Block Party
It’s that time of year again, for the fifth annual Block Party. We will be adding the
folks from Jacob’s Well to those who will help with the Party. In fact, one of their
members is providing us with all the meat and a grill. Thank you Jacob’s Well!
So with St. Luke, MEAC, Jacob’s Well and of course EPC, the Party this year
is expected to be greater than ever. BUT, still need help and items!!!
If you would like to help with any of the following: set up, take down, bring a game
or cooler, cook, work with kids painting faces or watching at the Bounce House…..
or many other ways to participate…..come to a Pot Luke dinner on a Wednesday
night and we’ll add your name to the list. This is where all the planning is being
done.
Sunday, June 21, 11:00am
Worship under the tent. Join us for a special outside worship service on the
Sunday following the Block Party. Jacob’s Well, St. Luke and EPC will make this
a worship service to remember. If you like to sing and pray, then this is for you!
St. Luke footnote:
This church has the opportunity to wipe out their mortgage. But they have only until
the end of May. If you would like to help, they need only a few thousand dollars to
make this happen. They would appreciate any pledge to: St. Luke, AME Church
4704 Plainville Road, Cinti., Oh 45227, or give it to Sandy. She will pass it on to
their pastor.
May God bless and keep you! Sandy

Songs # 72 I Love You Lord
# 199 Open Our Eyes Lord
Invocation
James 3:9-12
Call to Worship
Make a joyful noise to the ruler of the earth.
Worship this God with gladness; come into God’s presence.
Know that the Lord is God. It is God who made us. We belong to God. We are the people, the sheep of God’s pasture.
Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving, and God’s courts with praise. Give thanks to God, bless the divine name.
For the Savior is good, whose steadfast love endures forever and whose faithfulness is extended to all generations.
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Prayer of Confession
Jesus stands ready to heal and forgive us;
all we need do, is ask in faith. Let us pray:
Merciful God, we go about our days failing to proclaim your saving power with our voices or our actions. We do not live as ones who are saved, but as people filled with fear and doubt.
We choose what is fast, not what is right. We close our eyes and ears to those who are in need, and close our hearts to those we claim to love.
SILENT MEDITATION
Forgive us we pray.
Forgive us Dear God, for all the ways we have not lived into our relationship with you. Amen.
